Range Flavours
A comprehensive range of flavours to suit everybody's needs. From
fish to fruit to spice or savoury there is an attractor for every situation.
A word on the use of solvents and flavour bases would not go amiss at
this point. Generally the bulk of flavours available today use small
amount of actual flavour on a high level of solvent base such as Ethyl
Alcohol or Glycerol. These bulk solvents are the base of most flavours,
but carp, such is their awareness, can easily recognise the commonly
used bases. Having a variety of both flavour and a base of options such
as in the Response Range gives the angler two variables to prevent using
common combinations and spooking wary carp. Available in Cherry Juice,
Strawberry Zest, Tropical Fruits, Passion Fruit, Tutti Frutti, Pineapple,
Blackcurrant, Banana & Pear, Scopex, Spice B, Milky Toffee, Salmon
& Shrimp and Mediterranean Shellfish. To compliment the Response
Range we have the ideal sweetener in Hydra Sweet, which rounds off the
taste of any bait.
Profile
Plus Flavours
A range of very concentrated flavours only marketed by Mainline.
These truly are the Rolls Royce of flavours, and give the most accurate,
lingering smell we could find. Although expensive, a little of the flavour
goes a long way because of their strength, and for a concentrated flavour
there is no easily detectable solvent base. They are a highly soluble
range of flavours in all water temperatures and are a perfect match
for any of our base mixes at any time of year. Available in Raspberry
Ripple, Juicy Fruit, Fruit-Tella, Sweet Plum, Strawberry Jam, Condensed
Milk and Crayfish.
Activ-Ades
Another state-of-the arts products from Mainline, the Activ-Ades
are feed inducing flavours containing a combination of amino based at
attractors, taste enhancers and palatants. Imported from the United
States they are used in the animal feed industry as feeding inducing
or triggering agents for the chemical receptors of hunger. The whole
range is very water soluble, giving a very good leakage rate which inturn
triggers quicker feeding responses from the carp, allowing us to capitalise
on all the aspects of attractions. The Sweet-Ade is designed as the
ultimate sweetener, but is still on the same base as the rest of the
range. An Active-Ade and a flavour from Mainline's range are all that
is needed for the very best available bait today. Available in Maple-Ade,
Strawberry Ade, Peach-Ade, Pacific Tuna, Trigger-Ade and Sweet-Ade.
Additives
Corn Steep Liquor
Before Mainline first launched Corn Steep Liquor it was one of our
best kept secrets in the country. It is a complete liquid food source,
rich in proteins, free aminos and a wide range of minerals, trace elements
and vitamins. Although a valuable additive in any bait, the Grange mix
was purposely designed to get the best out of it. Corn Steep Liquor
has caught some of the biggest carp in the country time and time again.
Bio-Serum
This is the second complete liquid food source, and is similar to
the C.S.L./ in its make up. It has a slight caramel smell and can be
used on its own or with any of the Profile Plus flavours at the recommended
levels. Although the Extract-Bio was formulated to be used with the
Bio-Serum it can also be added to any of the range of base mixes as
a complete liquid food additive in it's own right.
The Activ-8 "Activator"
As the name suggests, the Activ-8 base mix has eight active ingredients
with inclusion of the "Activator" being the final additive
that makes the whole system gel into a highly attractive and also highly
effective bait combination. Our dedicated base mix and "Activator"
combination makes for yet another simple and easy mix to roll, with
no worries regarding catchability for this highly successful bait.
Multi-Stim
A unique and powerful feed triggering agent that can be used in conjunction
with Meta-Mino or on its own in any type of bait. Being very water-soluble
it will aid attraction in all temperatures. Multi-Stim can be used on
its own or mixed with Profile Plus, Activ-Ade or Response flavours for
use as a soak/dip in the colder months.
Meta-Mino
This is an amino-based compound and feed inducing agent that can
be used in any type of bait. It has a neutral smell and taste and will
not alter the smell of a finished bait. Instead, it enhances the bait
and allows a high leakage rate in water to aid attraction. As with the
Multi-Stim it can be used for dipping hookbaits all year round.
Oils
There are two types of feed inducing oils, the Fosoil and the Ultra-Marine.
The Fosoils are designed for the fish farming industry as a feed inducing
coating for pelleted foods, and are suited to any of the fishmeal base
mixes in the range at 5ml per egg. As most oils coagulate in colder
water, the Ultra-Marine was formulated and has been refined and heat-treated
to be used throughout the year at the same levels as the Fosoils. Both
of the oils are an ideal hi-fat source in any of the base mixes, not
only the fishmeals. They should be used at about 15ml per pound for
this purpose. Both oils are also available ready flavoured with strawberry
for added attraction.
True Colour Dyes
Not a lot we can say about dyes, is there? If we could get them
in feed inducing format we would, but we can't! Mainline offer the highest
quality powder dyes available, genuine value for money products - a
little goes a long, long way. Used in the food industry they have remarkable
resilience and stability, and they can be mixed together for a variety
of colour permutations in finished bait.
Hookbait Enhancement System
The very latest in hook bait enhancement and attraction. They have
a very heavy, viscous balanced base giving the ultimate attraction in
terms of both flavour and taste. The viscosity ensures that the product
highlights the area around your hookbait for longer periods than conventional
enhancers, maximising your chances of a take in both warm and cold water.
Presoaking hookbaits in the enhancer for 5 minutes is recommended, although
this can be extended to 15 minutes in difficult conditions. Used as
a soak, baits can be left in the bottle indefinately. Due to the natural
origins of the enhancers, baits cannot be overloaded. Available in Sweet/Fruit,
Savoury/Fish & Neutral.
Grange & Activ-8 Dips
Only previously available to fieldtesters as a perk of the job, we have
been inundated with requests to release these proven fish pullers. They
contain a unique blend of bio-active ingredients, tailored to maximise
the attraction from either of the base mixes. They can be used as a
dip or soak for pop-ups and bottom baits alike, gradually releasing
a dense cloud of attractors along the lake bed in the region of your
hookbait. Impossible to overload because of their natural origins, these
dips are an invaluable aid to catching fish at scratching times or in
cold water conditions, or simply drawing attention to your hookbait
in a heavily baited area.
